Four years after it suspended flights in the Puducherry-Bengaluru sector, Spice Jet is set to resume its services again.
Now, you can fly from Pondicherry to Bangalore from February 15 onwards. The private airliner operated flights in this sector for less than a year, before it terminated operations in Feburary 2014. Consequently, this will be the second service operated by the airline from Puducherry, following the recent launch of its Pondicherry-Hyderabad service, under the Centre’s Regional Connectivity Scheme Udan.
According to The Hindu, a 78-seater Bombardier, SG 3419, will fly this sector.
The Bengaluru- Puducherry flight is barely 50 minutes and takes off from Bengaluru at 9.40 a.m. and lands in Puducherry at 10.30 a.m. On its return leg, the flight departs at 10.50 a.m. from Puducherry and lands in Bengaluru at 12.10 p.m. A round-trip ticket is priced around Rs. 4,000.
