Three young men took off on a 600-kilometre journey from Pondicherry on a June morning. On bicycles: not sports bikes but road-weary unremarkable ones.
Their journey of 12 days took them to four schools that approached education in unlikely ways.
These schools- all located in rural Puducherry and Tamil Nadu- had one thing in common. They had managed to recapture the lost of art of learning from the world around us. The three cyclists returned with lessons and experiences they shared with urban school kids in Pondicherry.
The initiative was part of worldwide celebrations of the ‘200 years of the bicycle ‘ by Nomads Pedal and was supported by Natura Foundation and PondyCAN under its ‘Seeds of Change’ programme.
