January 15 and 18 have been declared as ‘dry days’ in Puducherry on occasion of Thiruvalluvar Day and Vallalar Jyothi respectively.
All liquor, toddy and arrack shops will be closed on these two days in January. Also liquor cannot be served at restaurants and pubs on January 15 and 18 in Puducherry according to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Excise.
