Pondicherry University ranked 9th among central universities in India. There are 54 central universities in India, according to the UGC. Pondicherry University also stood at 45th place in the list of India’s Top 75 Universities.
The University has bettered its performance compared to 2019 when it ranked 11th among central universities. Its current ranking puts it among Indias’ Top 10 central universities. It has also moved up 22 places from the 67th spot in the top universities list in 2019.
