An annual event, the Auroville Marathon occupies an important place in Auroville and Pondicherry’s calendar of events. The marathon has been held successfully for over a decade now.
The course of the marathon winds itself through the City of Dawn – across forest trails and diverse terrain. The 10k run is quite popular too. Participants come from all over India to test their mettle.
The marathon celebrates the joy of running – it is not a timed run and there are no prizes. All finishers are considered as winners .
As you run through the shaded trails, the Auroville community cheers you on and a massive team of volunteers are there to run the event smoothly.
